Create a single window for all foreign investors: Sinha panel

The finance ministry on Tuesday proposed to do away with the different rules for portfolio, NRI and foreign venture capital investments in India and institute a single window regulatory system for all. The idea behind the sweeping changes is to make life easier for foreign investors in India and to reduce the cost of equity capital for local companies.
